Five deaths in one day in Luhansk Oblast amid constant Russian shelling

At least five people were killed by Russian shelling in Luhansk Oblast over the last day, regional governor Serhiy Hayday reported via Telegram messenger on May 27.

According to him, throughout the day, Russian forces attempted to push their way to Severodonetsk from Purdivka and Shchedryshcheve, attacking Ukrainian positions near Ustynivka.

"Residents of Severodonetsk have already forgotten when the city was last quiet for at least half an hour,” he said.

“The Russians are incessantly pounding residential neighborhoods. On May 26, four Severodonetsk residents were killed by enemy shells. Everyone is in the old districts of the city.”

Hayday noted that another person died in Komyshuvakha.

In the city of Lysychansk, the invaders opened fire on a police station. No victims were reported.
