Wilder, who hails from the U.S., believes that Tyson Fury is demanding too much money for a bout against Usyk, and has turned to the Ukrainian's team with an offer to step in and fight against him.
“If Fury overprices himself, they know where to find me,” he said.
“£500 million is definitely pricing himself out. I'm here, Deontay Wilder is back, I'm here to make the division strong and exciting again. I'm here for all the smoke. But we'll see what happens. Boxing is a business. It's strictly a business and you’ve gotta treat it accordingly.”
The publication notes that on Oct. 15, Wilder will fight against Robert Helenius.
After the victory over the UK’s Anthony Joshua, Usyk has urged two-time world heavyweight champion Fury to return to the ring and face him.
Fury responded to the call out from the Ukrainian champ, saying that he would have to be given a lot of money for the bout. Later, the Brit demanded half a billion dollars for a fight against the Ukrainian.
Afterwards, Fury stated that Usyk wouldn’t be his next opponent, as the Ukrainian does not plan to fight this year.
