Ukraine’s national fossil fuel company Naftogaz will supply communal housing dormitories with gas for the price of UAH 7.42 ($0.2) per cubic meter from November 2022 till March 2023, instead of raising it, according to a government decree, the Cabinet of Ministers reported on Dec. 29.
"Ukrainian state company Naftogaz supplies enterprises, institutions and organizations which have dormitories (or other residential buildings)...with natural gas at the cost of UAH 7420 ($200), including VAT, per 1,000 cubic meters," the resolution reads.
This gas price of UAH 7.42 per cubic meter does not take into account the tariff for natural gas transportation services to households, as well as the coefficient applied in case of ordering capacity for the day ahead.
It was reported previously that Naftogaz had entered the gas distribution market of Ukraine. The Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine (Gas Networks) company received a license for the distribution of natural gas within Kirovohrad Oblast.
