Electric car sales in Ukraine triple over last year

Ukrainians bought 413 new electric cars in February 2023, which is three times more than in February 2022, the Telegram channel Ukravtoprom reported on March 6.

Compared to January 2023, the market of new electric cars in Ukraine has grown by 40%, Ukravtoprom reported.

The Volkswagen ID.4 was the most popular model on the Ukrainian market. Ukrainians bought 134 new cars of this model in one month.

The second most popular among car buyers was Dongfeng Honda M-NV, with sales of 86 units.

Another Volkswagen electric car, the ID.6, is in third place, with 33 units.

The fourth most popular model is the compact Honda E, with 27 units.

The top five of the February market is closed by the Mercedes-Benz EQC, with sales of 16 units.

A total of 708 new electric cars have been sold in Ukraine since the beginning of 2023, which is 164% more than in the same period last year.

As reported, in February the demand for new passenger cars with internal combustion engines in Ukraine fell by half.
