2022 inflation rate in Ukraine settles at 26.6%

Year-over-year Ukrainian consumer price index inflation was at 26.6% for 2022, State Statistics Service reported on Jan. 10.
In December 2022, price growth levels remained the same as in November – at 0.7%, compared to 2.5% in October, 1.9% in September and 1.1% in August.
In December 2021, inflation was at 0.6%, so in annual terms it was 26.6% for the year as a whole, compared with 26.5% in November.
Core inflation fell to 0.8% in December 2022, from 1.3% in November, 1.9% in October, 2.4% in September, and 2.1% in August.
The report specified that annual core inflation in the country was 22.6% for 2022.
The IMF forecasts inflation in Ukraine to drop to 22.5% in 2023.
