The U.S. Nvidia multinational technology company will close its office in Russia by the end of October due to the “impossibility of ensuring the effective work of employees,” Russia’s Forbes business outlet reported on Oct. 3, citing a source close to the company.

Nvidia also confirmed this information directly to Forbes.

The company noted 240 people remained working for it in Russia, mostly engineers. They will be relocated to other offices or dismissed by agreement of the parties.

At the moment, Nvidia is “actively taking out on chartered planes those who agree to relocate to offices in other countries.”
