One billion dollars of financial support from Washington has already arrived in Ukraine, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said in a post on Facebook on June 8.

“As part of the $40 billion package signed by President Joe Biden on May 21, $1 billion has already arrived to help Ukraine and its people move forward,” says the statement.

Brink noted that another $7.5 billion in grant assistance is already on the way.

“We know that the people of Ukraine are already working with great determination to rebuild their country,” Brink said in her post.
