Polish Post and Ukrposhta (Ukraine’s national postal service) have reduced the rates for sending all EMS (expedited international delivery service) parcels weighing up to 20 kg to Ukraine by 75%. This is another step to support Ukraine as part of the Polish Post campaign called Help to Ukraine, Ukrposhta said in a statement on Oct. 5.
Parcels qualifying for this discount are accepted at Polish post offices that take EMS shipments., with delivery to any branch of Ukrposhta estimated to take 7 to 14 days. Prices start at 42 PLN per parcel (approximately $8.3).
According to Ukrposhta General Director Ihor Smilyanskyi, "the next step will be the revision of rates for the delivery of shipments from Ukraine to Poland, which will further advance cooperation between the two post services and the two countries."
Since the beginning of the year, more than 640 tons of imported shipments, and another 150 tons of free parcels, have arrived from Poland to Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Nova Poshta (a private postal operator in Ukraine) reduced the rates for delivery of goods from online stores in France.
