Russia’s Gazprom natural gas extraction rested at 377 billion cubic meters in January-November 2022, which is 19.4% lower compared to the same period of 2021, Ukrainian news agency Interfax-Ukraine reported on Dec. 1, citing Gazprom’s data.

Furthermore, the company’s gas exports to non-CIS countries amounted to 95.2 billion cubic meters, which is 44.5% less than in the same period of 2021.

Russian domestic demand for gas declined by 5.7%, or 12.8 billion cubic meters.

Among positive trends, Gazprom only named frowning exports to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, saying that gas “supplies regularly go in excess of daily contract quantities,” without disclosing specific figures.
