Ukraine has become the first non-EU country to be added to the European Union’s trusted list, enabling the automatic verification of Ukrainian electronic signatures and seals on digital documents within the EU, and the confirming of their validity.
Ukrainians will be able to sign European contracts, documents, and applications using the Diia.
Sign-EU digital signature, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported on its Telegram on May 4. The move is expected to open up new opportunities for Ukrainian entrepreneurs and refugees in EU countries.
In return, Ukraine recognized the qualified trust services of the EU, allowing citizens of EU countries to use their e-signatures and seals to conduct business in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Transformation launched a beta version of the Diia.
