Ukraine’s state-owned Ukroboronprom arms manufacturing concern has announced that it is in the final stages of design for a Ukrainian-made strike drone, which will have a range of up to 1,000 km, the company revealed on Facebook on Oct. 17.
"Range: 1000 km. It can carry payloads weighing up to 75 kg. The final stage of designing,” the company wrote.
"We can say almost nothing (it is really necessary), but this 'nothing' has succeeded on the frontline, and another 'nothing' has been tested successfully time and again. You'd say it's not enough. We agree but prefer to work 24/7 rather than fill the media space with loud statements.”
Russia conducted a mass suicide drone attack against Ukraine on Oct. 17, utilizing Iranian-made Shahed-136 drones. Out of 28 launched against the capital, only five made it through – killing at least four and wounding another four.
