Wizz Air to provide 100,000 air tickets to Ukrainian refugees
Hungarian airline Wizz Air announced plans to donate 100,000 air tickets to Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania, to enable them to arrive at their destinations.
The tickets will cover short-distance flights from the four countries.
“We also realize that many refugees are already on the move and could end up elsewhere, so we’re offering a rescue ticket for EUR 29.99, and EUR 69.99 tickets for all other flights,” Wizz Air said.
Since the outbreak of Russia’s war on Ukraine, around 660,000 Ukrainian refugees have left the country.
