Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted a bill prohibiting gambling businesses from operating under the country’s simplified taxation system, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on the Telegram messenger on Feb. 6.

“After 19 days my bill on depriving the gambling business of tax benefits has finally been signed by the president,” the MP said.

“The norm enters into force the day after publication.”

Earlier in January, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, passed bill No. 8079 as a whole, which prohibits gambling businesses from operating under a simplified taxation system.
