Adele wowed at Brit Awards 2022 in a dress by Ukrainian designer
British singer Adele stole the show at the Feb. 8 Brit Awards 2022 ceremony in London with a stunning velvet black dress by Ukrainian designer Marianna Senchina.
Adele showed off her show-stopping mini dress as she took to the stage three times over the course of the ceremony to receive her awards and perform her new single, “I Drink Wine.”
The flattering dress, featuring a low-cut neckline and dramatic puffy sleeves, was a repeat - Adele had previously worn it a private party, and hails from Marianna Senchina’s Autumn-Winter 2020 collection.
Marianna Senchina is one of Ukraine’s most prominent young designers. Senchina’s creations have previously been worn by the likes of Rihanna, Dua Lipa and Maye Musk.
Musk rocked an elegant gray suit by Senchina at Paris Fashion Week 2022.
Senchina told Elle Ukraine that she had been surprised to see Adele wearing her dress, and said that world-renown British singer had purchased it from an online shop selling the Ukrainian brand’s collection.
The Senchina brand was founded in 2015 and is run by Marianna and her sister Natalia.
According to the brand’s official website, Marianna Senchina’s aesthetics are a unique mix of garment elements from different epochs.
