Indie Cup Ukraine 22, a charity festival that chooses the best independent Ukrainian video games made annually, has granted four Ukrainian games the top award, Ukrainian tech outlet AIN reported on Dec. 25.
60 games in total took part in this years contest, with the top games chosen by jury voting, consisting of top employees from well-known companies, including Remedy Entertainment, CD-Project Red, Bloober Team, Vostok Games, Red Beat, Plarium, Wargaming.net, as well as Ukrainian journalists and influencers.
The winners were the following games:
• DESTRUCTURE: Among Debris (Team Instant Defeat) — best game of the festival.
• Through Nightmares (SandmanTeam) — best game from a small team without a publisher.
• Erra: Exordium (Fair Pixel) — game chosen by representatives of the press and influencers.
• Space Me Out (Catfishbox Team) — charity nomination, the winner was chosen by public voting for donations at the festival meeting.
Donations made during the festival went towards the procurement of a reconnaissance drone for the 93rd Kholodny Yar Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces, as well as for four charging stations for the military near Kharkiv.
