Ukrainian soldier shares video of sad dog asking to play amid fighting in Bakhmut

An adorable and heart-wrenching video shared by Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut shows a sad shepherd dog doing his best to show the otherwise occupied defenders that all he wants to do is play.
The video shows the pup trying in every possible way to signal the soldiers of his intentions, only to be ignored due to the active fighting in the Battle of Bakhmut, according to footage released on TikTok on April 26.
The shaggy fighter is shown to piteously whimper while pulling his ball toward the Ukrainian fighters, who were too busy at the time to play.
“We’re shooting here, and you brought us your ball?”, one soldier asks.
“Bro... People are working here,” said another.
Like the loyal solider he is, the dog waited patiently to get the attention of the Ukrainian soldiers and joyfully grabs the ball and runs to play.
Online commentary describes the pup’s actions as ‘extremely cute’ and ‘adorable’.
