Zhytomyr-based club claims top spot in Europe's best football team rankings

FC Polissya Zhytomyr, the leader of the First League of the Ukrainian Championship, is the best football team among the second divisions of 20 countries on the continent, according to the Sweeper podcast.
On average, Polissya scores 2.6 points per game, which is the best result among other clubs.
Leaders in the average number of points per game:
- Polissia (Ukraine) – 2.6
- Panserraikos (Greece) – 2.55
- Kifisia (Greece) – 2.55
- Moreirense (Portugal) – 2.26
- Samsunspor (Turkey) – 2.21
- Burnley (England) – 2.2
- Heracles (Netherlands) – 2.19
- Ranheim (Norway) – 2.17
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian team is ranked higher than the English Championship winner Burnley, which is sixth.
Polissia is the leader of the Ukrainian First League. A victory over Kremin in the next match will secure the team's place in the top tier of Ukrainian football for the 2023/2024 season ahead of schedule.
