U.S. film actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador Ben Stiller, a supporter of Ukraine recently sanctioned by Russia, has delighted his fans in Ukraine with an uplifting Sept. 6 tweet.

The actor posted a photo of a mug with the inscription “I Love Lviv” in the sun’s rays.

“Good morning,” he wrote in the captions of the photo.

With this photo, Stiller was reacting to the news that he, as well as another Hollywood actor, Sean Penn, had been banned from entering Russia due to their support for Ukraine.

“‘There has to be something deeply satisfying knowing you are now banned from Russia,” one of Stiller’s followers said, commenting on the tweet.

“We’re very proud of you,’ ‘I love that mug,’ ‘Thank you for your support,’ ‘My maternal grandfather was from Lviv. Mom’s 94 and would love one,’ ‘Welcome to Lviv,’”

Stiller visited Ukraine in July as part of the UN mission. He met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and visited Lviv, Kyiv, Irpin, and Makariv.

Prior to that, he visited Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
