Home Games by Ukrainian director Alisa Kovalenko is now available on the streaming platform Netflix.
"We are on Netflix right now. This is a first for a Ukrainian creative documentary," Kovalenko said.
Kovalenko, 34, is an award-winning Ukrainian director. Her movies won international film festivals in Marocco, Mexico, Armenia, Great Britain, and many others.
Kovalenko’s film "Home Games" tells the story of Alina Shylova, a 20-year-old girl from Kyiv, whose passion is football. In the film she starts playing for the Ukrainian national team, while simultaneously facing problems with her family.
