KOLABA and Oksana Bilozir’s remix of 90s hit ‘Horobyna Nich’ breaks records on social media

Ukrainian pop duo KOLABA and former Culture Minister and singing legend Oksana Bilozir have blown up social media with a new version of her 90s hit ‘Horobyna Nich’(‘Rowan Night’).

The unexpected collaboration has given new life to the popular song by the People’sArtist of Ukraine. The track is already breaking records for views on social media.

The duo’s main slogan “Listen to Ukrainian!” is brought to life by transforming 90s hits into a new modern style and making them relevant for modern youth.The song’s video was released alongside the track and starred Bilozir herself.

At theend of May, the singer will celebrate her birthday, so the renewed popularity of her track is like an early gift.

The KOLABA project was created by Lviv’s Andriy Pavlesa and Poltava’s Vladyslav Krypak on April 8, 2022, during wartime. The group aims to raise the morale of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Ukrainian civilians. The team also hopes to develop and popularize Ukrainian music through collaborations with artists in unusual styles and remixes.

The duo’s most popular hits and remixes have gained popularity through topping the charts and regular play at popular Ukrainian clubs. Their songs have been listened to over 650 million times on music streaming platforms.
