The Zavertailo bakery in the Ukrainian capital city Kyiv on Sept. 6 presented a new filled croissant in honor of the new UK prime minister, Liz Truss.

“Of course, Liz Truss still has to prove her commitment to the Ukrainian people, but, just in case, we have already made a croissant,” the bakery wrote on Instagram.

“Rose-lavender-blackberry with vanilla custard. It is soft on the outside, but fiery inside.”

“Liz – congratulations on your new position. People – congratulations on a new croissant.”

Previously, the bakery created a croissant in honor of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“Boris Johnson is not just a prime minister, but also a croissant,” the bakery said at the time.

“(The croissant is) inspired by the English apple pie and our mutual favorite’s adorable hairstyle, and dedicated to our British friends in gratitude for their support in the war against Russia.”
