Manchester City legend assesses Chelsea’s swoop for Mudryk

Former Manchester City and Argentina star striker Sergio Agüero has spoken out about the transfer of Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea Football Club, Football.London wrote on Jan. 31.

Assessing the winter transfer window in England, Agüero singled out Mudryk's transfer as a great achievement for the London club.

"The market did have a lot of movement and teams had really important additions,” the Argentinian said.

“Mudryk going to Chelsea comes to mind. It really lifted up their spirits and it looks like a big win for their team.”

Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar for €100 million ($108 million), making it the most expensive winter transfer in English Premier League history.

The Ukrainian wunderkind made his Chelsea debut in a 0-0 tie with Liverpool in the 21st game of the current season.
