Ministry of Sports blacklists renowned athletes for violating Ukraine's wartime return policy

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has published a list of Ukrainian athletes who did not return home from abroad during the war with Russia, the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine reported on May 26.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine allow athletes to travel abroad to participate in international competitions, but some violate their obligations regarding the timing of their return to Ukraine.
Of note, the list includes football players Artem Hromov, who plays for Cypriot AEK, and Azerbaijani Zira forward Vladyslav Kulach.
Other violators include hockey players Dmytro Nimenko, Pylyp Panhelov-Yuldashev, and Yevhen Fadieiev, basketball players Andriy Kozhemiakin and Oleksandr Kobets, and figure skater Andriy Kokura.
In total, 236 athletes were included on the list.
Earlier, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and President of the NOC Vadym Gutzeit said that 293 Ukrainian athletes were killed in the war with Russia.
