The Russian national futsal team beat Georgia 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Futsal Championship, advancing to the semi-finals, where it will face Ukraine.

Despite being overall favorite, the Russian team only managed to score its first goal in the 23rd minute, thanks to forward Artem Niyazov.

Nevertheless, a minute later the Georgians leveled the score – forward Bruno Branco got in the goal for his side.

However, the Georgians failed to capitalize on that momentum, and the Russians were able to re-establish control, with defender Ivan Chishkala putting the Russians ahead, and sealing the deal with another goal in the final moments of the game.
