Kristian Shevchenko, the son of the legendary Ukrainian football player Andriy Shevchenko, has left the youth academy of Chelsea FC, sports commentator Ihor Tsyhanyk stated while broadcasting on YouTube channel Football Hub on Dec. 26.
16-year-old Kristian will instead join London's Tottenham Hotspur F.C., playing on the same team where Yaya Touré, who played for Metalurh Donetsk, is coach.
Andriy Shevchenko himself played for Chelsea in 77 matches and scored 22 goals. His time with Chelsea saw the club achieve national champion status.
He is also the winner of the award Ballon d'Or (Golden Ball) 2004.
