Street artist Gamlet Zinkviskyi's new exhibition to open in Kyiv on Feb. 18

A new exhibition of works by Ukrainian artist Gamlet Zinkivskiy, intriguingly titled 3652019+⅔, is opening on Feb. 18 at the M17 Modern Art Centre in Kyiv.

Zinkivskiy is a Kharkiv-born Ukrainian artist known for his street art in Ukraine, Germany and many other countries. This time, Zinkivskyi will be presenting a memory journal style project, which reflects his responses to the events of 2019 and 2021.

The exhibition includes over 700 miniatures: experiences drawn with narrow lines on small sheets of paper, as well as large artworks from the artist’s previous collections. Just like in his street art, Zinkivskiy always matches his visuals with text to create a minimalist, yet meaningful account of his past experiences.

The name of the exhibition is a hybrid of three significant numbers: 365 for the number of days in a year, 2019 for the year the artist reflects upon and ⅔ for the paper size employed.

The 3652019+⅔ exhibition will be inaugurated on Feb. 18 at 1900 Kyiv time at the M17 Modern Art Centre (Kyiv, 102-104 Antonovych Str.) Entry to the exhibition is free of charge.

On Feb. 19 at 1500, M17 will also be hosting an Artist Talk with Zinkivskiy, who will speak about the events and ideas that have filled his life over the last few years and have found an outlet in his 3652019+⅔ visual diaries.
