While Russian propaganda spreads falsehoods about the supposed “death” of Ukrainian commanders on the front, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, attended the wedding of a Ukrainian soldier who lost his leg during his service, according to a post by groom Maksym Alekseev on Facebook on May 10.
“I really wanted this moment to be fulfilled by a special person,” he wrote.
“And it happened: Valerii Fedorovich (Zaluzhnyi’s patronymic -ed.) agreed. Now, at the beginning of our family, stands a legendary person who is an example for me personally and, I am sure, for everyone else.”
