Ukraine launches official Spotify account
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry and the Ukrainian Institute, in cooperation with online media website SLUKH, have launched an official Ukrainian account on the Spotify international online music platform.
The account is designed to introduce contemporary Ukrainian music to an international audience.
“Ukrainian Spotify is all about emotions,” the Foreign Ministry’s press service said in a statement published on Dec. 21.
“You get track recommendations tailored to your mood. Our first launch includes six themed playlists. There’s a track to match every mood, be it happiness, inspiration, or winter blues.”
The page was also designed to showcase Ukrainian culture. For instance, one of the playlists compares the taste of freshly cooked borsht to the feeling of ultimate bliss.
There is also a special Christmas-themed collection, including the famous Ukrainian song Schedryk, known in English as Carol of the Bells.
The page design has been customized with the help of contemporary Ukrainian photographers.
Aside from a Spotify account, Ukraine also has official Facebook and Instagram profiles.
