First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska chose an elegant suit with a kimono jacket from the Ukrainian brand Bobkova for her interview with Japanese television’s NHK on Aug 9.

Zelenska gave a long interview to Japanese television, during which she spoke about life in Ukraine after five months of full-scale Russian invasion.

Zelenska could not hold back tears when asked about her speech in the U.S. Congress and about the death of Lisa, a four-year-old girl killed in a missile attack on the central Ukrainian town of Vinnytsia.

For the interview, Olena Zelenska chose a blue wool pantsuit from the fall-winter 2022 collection of the Ukrainian brand Bobkova. The collection was inspired by the Serbian artist Marina Abramović.

“Our first lady, Olena Zelenska, today is a model of freedom and resilience for women around the world,” designer Kristina Bobkova told nv.ua. “The costume that we created for her speaks of the femininity and strength of its owner at the same time. It is no accident that the kimono jacket and straight trousers are made in sky blue."

Zelenska also chose to wear a suit from Kristina Bobkova for her recent interview with UK journalist Piers Morgan.
