Ukraine’s top tennis star, Anhelina Kalinina, dedicated her first WTA 125 title at the Open BLS de Limoges in France on Dec. 17 to Ukraine and her family.
Kalinina commented on the victory on her Instagram page after the competition award ceremony.
"It was very important for me to win today — for my country and for my family. I am very proud that I am Ukrainian," Kalinina said at the ceremony itself.
Afterwards, she thanked France for supporting her in a post published on Instagram.
"Special thanks to France for supporting us. Thanks to my Team, let’s keep going!" Kalinina wrote.
