Ukraine’s women’s wrestlers win back-to-back European team titles

The Ukrainian women's wrestling team won back-to-back team titles after finishing first at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships in Zagreb after topping the table at the 2022 Championships in Budapest.

Ukrainian athletes won a total of six medals — two gold, three silver, and one bronze.

Gold: Alina Hrushyna-Akobiia, Iryna Koliadenko

Silver: Oksana Livach, Yuliya Tkach-Ostapchuk, Alla Belinska

Bronze: Tetiana Sova-Rizhko

Yesterday, Ukrainian weightlifter Iryna Dekha, won her third straight European championship — and fourth overall — at the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan.

The reigning world champion became the most decorated weightlifter since Ukraine gained its independence in 1991.
