The Ukrainian animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" was a box office hit in France on the first day of its screening on March 29 , French entertainment website AlloCiné reported on March 30.
The French name of the film is "Le Royaume de Naya” or “The Kingdom of Naya.”
In France, "Mavka. The Forest Song'' has attracted more viewers than the U.S. superhero film "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," French drama movie "Je verrai toujours vos visages" (I will always see your faces), the comedies "Bonne conduite" (Good behavior) and "The Lost King," and others.

"As of Monday, we have had 160,827 admissions. As a result, we’ve had the second best weekend box office start of the year, are in fifth position in terms of weekly box office, and have taken a market share of 5%," Film.ua, one of the producers of the Ukrainian animated film, wrote on Facebook.
"Mavka. The Forest Song" will be released in Australia and New Zealand on April 6.
The Ukrainian animated adventure has already set a box office record for Ukrainian national releases. The Film.ua production team managed to finish this “high-value” project despite the start of Russian full-scale invasion.
