Ukrainian female rapper bags prestigious European award
Alina Pash, a female rapper from Ukraine’s Transcarpathia region, has won one of the four Public Choice Music Moves Europe Awards.
The award ceremony was held on Jan. 20 at the ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Pash shared the exciting news on her Facebook page, writing that it was a blessing to be noticed and “to cross borders with her Ukrainian style.”
The Music Moves Europe Awards are an EU prize for contemporary music. The awards were created to celebrate upcoming young artists and support their budding careers in the industry. The winner of the Public Choice Award receives EUR 5,000 in prize money.
Pash is the second Ukrainian female rapper to gain international acclaim, following in the footsteps of well-known Ukrainian rapper Alyona Alyona.
