Ukrainian tennis player secures her first WTA title, defeating Russian – video report

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk, secured the first major title in her career at the inaugural ATX Open, defeating Russian Varvara Gracheva in the tournament final with a score of 6-3, 7-5.
"I was just playing match by match, and I think this is how you win tournaments, I guess!” a tearful Kostyuk said, commenting on her victory.
“It’s not so easy to talk right now, but obviously I'm extremely happy. I’m just happy to be healthy, and happy to play tennis and see the crowd enjoy my game."
After defeating Gracheva in the final of the tournament in Austin, Kostyuk immediately climbed 12 places in the WTA ranking and now ranks 40th – a personal best.
