A special law enforcement division, set up to investigate Russian war crimes, has identified 13 victims of sexual violence in Kyiv Oblast over the course of the month, reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on May 20 via Telegram messenger, citing Deputy Minister Kateryna Pavlichenko.

In addition, during this period, the Interior Ministry says that the division investigated 21 settlements, and has initiated pretrial investigations into two criminal cases of rape committed by Russian soldiers.

“A similar group has been working in Sumy Oblast since May 10,” the deputy minister said.
