Russia fired over 70 shells and rockets on Nikopol District in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight, regional governor Valentyn Reznichenko reported on Telegram on Nov. 17.

According to his information, the Myrivka, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Nikopol regions were all struck by Russian attacks.

Nikopol was the worst affecte, he said – with 20 apartment buildings and residential houses, about 10 outbuildings, cars, and a college damaged in the town, as well as the town’s gas pipeline and electrical grid. The local pumping station also lost power due to shelling, leaving 6,000 Nikopol residents without power, and 40,000 without water.

However, there are no casualties discovered thus far, the governor stated.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has been under near-continuous Russian assault since the beginning of the full-scale war.

On Nov. 9, a suicide drone struck the provincial capital of Dnipro, destroying a logistics enterprise and injuring four.

On Nov. 12, invading Russian forces fired over 50 shells towards the Nikopol region.
