Ukraine has managed to obtain the bodies of another 25 fallen defenders, the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reported on its website on Sept. 6.
The ministry notes that the operation was carried out with the cooperation of the Commissioner for Missing Persons, Oleh Kotenko, and a number of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, in accordance with Geneva Convention norms.
The first exchange of bodies was held at the beginning of June, with slain defenders of Azovstal present in that group. The exchange took place according to a "160 for 160" formula.
On Aug. 16, Ukraine returned the bodies of another 19 fallen Ukrainian defenders.
In total, Ukraine has managed to return the bodies of 541 defenders.
