Russians strike Sumy and Chernihiv Oblast 27 times over past day

Invading Russian troops shelled Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts with mortars over the past day, with 27 strikes reported, the Ukrainian military’s Operational Command North reported on Facebook on Jan. 28.
The enemy used 120 millimeter calibre mortars, the military said, hitting areas near the settlements of Stara Huta, Mykolaiivka, Budivelne and Styahailivka.
Ukrainian military personnel and materiel were not affected by the strikes, the military reported. No damage or civilian victims have been identified.
Ukraine's General Staff reported that Russian forces launched 10 missile attacks, 21 air strikes, and 81 shelling attacks on Jan. 27.
