Canada is providing CAD 10 million (about $7.6 million) for the purchase and delivery of power generators to Ukraine, Minister of International Development of Canada Harjit Sajjan announced on his Twitter page on Nov. 25.
"Millions of civilians in Ukraine are without power today," said the Canadian official.
“As Putin continues to recklessly target innocent people, our resolve to help Ukraine is only strengthened. We’ve allocated $10M to the UN Migration Agency Mission in Ukraine to procure and distribute generators to critical facilities in Ukraine.”
Russia’s latest attack on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure came on Nov. 23, following two other especially large attacks on Nov. 15 and Oct. 10. The Russian in particular targeted energy infrastructure, electricity distribution nodes, transformers, and water reservoir dams.
Millions of Ukrainians across the country were left without power, water and heating supplies in the wake of the latest missile attack.
