Up to 8,000 Ukrainian troops underwent basic military training abroad, with 3,000 more currently being trained, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of Ukraine’s General Staff Oleksiy Hromov said during a briefing on Nov. 24.
"On the basic military training: to date, 7,500 troops have finished training, while another 2,900 are (currently) undergoing it," said Hromov.
