Air defense downs two enemy Oniks missiles near Odesa

Ukrainian air defense shot down two Oniks-type missiles after Russian forces launched another attack on Odesa Oblast on the morning of Dec. 17, Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesperson for the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram. An analogous report was also posted by the Ukrainian military’s Operational Command South on Facebook.
The missiles were reportedly fired from a coastal missile complex in occupied Crimea. No other details are currently known.
Earlier, media sources reported that explosions were noted in Odesa after air raid sirens went off early on Dec. 17.
