American citizens trust Zelensky more than their own president

U.S. citizens have more confidence in Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky than U.S. President Joe Biden, according to a poll conducted by Pew Research Center on March 21-27.

According to the survey, 72% of respondents said that have either “some” or “a lot” of confidence in Zelensky, while this figure sat at 48% for Biden.

Meanwhile, 53% of Americans trust French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the survey suggests.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, are leading as the least trustworthy foreign leaders for U.S. citizens, sitting at 92% and 83% disapproval, respectively.
