Ammunition depot in Vasylkiv on fire after being hit by Russian air strikes
Russian air strikes against a military airfield in the city of Vasylkiv, a town south of Kyiv, have set an ammunition depot on fire, local police reported on March 12.
The enemy fired at least six missiles at the military airfield at around 0700.
“Ammo depot is damaged; ongoing ammunition detonations; raging fire,” Vasylkiv police said.
“Firefighters are working at the scene; police are investigating damage to nearby buildings.”
There is no word on casualties from the Russian airstrike as of yet.
Early in the morning of March 12 air raid sirens went off all around Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted a cruise missile over the city of Dnipro.
