Today, April 27, is the 63rd day of Ukraine's defense against a full-scale Russian invasion. Ukraine has been fighting off Russian aggression for over two months.

1911: Russians are planning to conduct sham referendums in their proxy republics of Donetsk and Luhansk and annex both in May, Russian media website Meduza has reported.

Two sources in the Russian government have even named the dates of the referendums to Meduza - May 14 and 15.

It is assumed that the "accession" will be within the limits "recognized" by Russia on February 21 as the "historical" borders of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine.

On the same dates, another "referendum" may be held in the Kherson Oblast, which was partially occupied by Russia.

It is planned to put to the vote the issue of the region's independence from Ukraine and the creation of the "Kherson People's Republic" like the "DPR" and "LPR". It may also be annexed to Russia in the future, Meduza's sources say.

1750: Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned Western countries of an immediate strike in response if they interfere in Russia's war against Ukraine.

Russia is prepared to use all kinds of methods to strike those, who would be considered a threat to "Russia's strategic interests in Ukraine".

"If anyone decides to meddle in ongoing events and create unacceptable strategic threats for Russia, they must know our response will be lightning-quick."We have all the instruments for this, ones nobody else can boast of. And we will use them if we have to," Putin said in a statement on April 27.

1619: Russians have been abducting Ukrainian men of conscription age from the occupied territories of Ukraine, Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate has reported.

The occupiers want to increase their "POWs exchange fund" before the May 9th Victory Day parade.

Over 300 pro-Ukrainian activists and ATO/JFO veterans are being held in cells in Kherson, interrogated, and tortured.

A filtration camp has been established in village Velyka Lepetykha, Kherson oblast. Men from there are transported to the occupied Crimea en masse.

1230: Russian occupiers have violently dispersed a pro-Ukrainian rally in Kherson, Suspilne Kherson reported on April 27.

The Russian military has used tear gas against peaceful protesters, leaving at least two people injured.

On April 27 Russians plan to hold a sham referendum, aiming to create another proxy republic in the occupied Kherson Oblast.
