Another coronavirus record for the second day in a row: Nearly 44,000 new COVID-19 cases over the past day

Over the past day, 43,778 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 174 deaths were recorded, and 9,497 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 4.

Ukraine, for the second day in a row, has reported a record number of new COVID-19 cases. A day earlier, 39,620 Ukrainians were reported to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Over the entire duration of the pandemic, a total of 4,312,675 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,660,351 have recovered, and 100,983 have died.

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.

An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.

Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.

Over 30 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 14 million people have received two doses, with more than 400,000 people having had a booster dose.
