Rescuers found the body of another person who died under the rubble of a building in the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast, which was earlier struck by a Russian missile, the press service of the State Emergency Service reported late on July 13.
"Donetsk Oblast: as of 7 p.m., during emergency rescue operations, one corpse was found in a five-story residential building in the city of Chasiv Yar. A total of 48 dead bodies were located," the agency said in a Telegram message.
The State Emergency Service noted that a 9-year-old child was among the dead, and nine people were rescued from under the debris. Rescue operations continue.
Russian troops fired four missiles at the city of Chasiv Yar on the evening of July 9. Regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko reported that two entry sections of the five-story building were completely destroyed.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has launched 2,960 missiles at Ukrainian cities, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported.
