Around 30,000 Ukrainians diagnosed with COVID-19, following traditional weekend case drop
Over the past day, 29,724 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 305 deaths were recorded, and 23,235 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 15.
The daily rate of COVID-19 infection traditionally sees a dramatic increase after declining over the weekend. A day earlier, on Feb. 14, 16,993 Ukrainians were reported to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Last week, Ukraine saw some of the highest COVID daily infection rates over the entire course of the pandemic, with Friday reporting over 41,000 infected.
Over the entire duration of the pandemic, a total of 4,572,417 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,811,630 have recovered, and 103,255 have died.

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.
An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.
Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytskyi and Luhansk Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.
Over 30 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 14 million people have received two doses, with more than 500,000 people having had a booster dose.
