As Russia threatens to invade, Ukraine, UK and Poland announce new cooperation format — FM Kuleba
Ukraine, Poland and the United Kingdom will work together on cyber and energy security, and on combatting disinformation under a new memorandum on co-operation, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Feb. 17.
During a press conference with British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, Kuleba said the UK and Poland would stand side by side with the Ukrainian people amid the threat of a Russian invasion.
“Today we also have the honor to announce the creation by Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Poland of a new trilateral format of cooperation,” Kuleba said. “Unfortunately, for logistical reasons we can’t present it together. Our Polish colleague Zbigniew Rau was supposed to be here. But he is with us remotely.”
According to the proposed memorandum, the UK and Poland will help Ukraine defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, strengthen energy cooperation, and continue to fight disinformation.
Kuleba also added that a joint statement on the memorandum would be released soon.
