Ukraine puts assets of three insolvent banks up for auction at $198 million

Assets belonging to three banks undergoing liquidation by Ukraine's Deposit Guarantee Fund have been listed for sale on the Prozorro.Sales platform this week, the fund announced on May 12.
"The starting sale price for all lots totals 8.7 billion hryvnias ($198 million). Of that amount, nearly the entire sum consists of loan claim rights, with 6.4 million hryvnias ($145,590) in fixed assets," the fund said.
The bulk of the offerings consists of loan claim rights belonging to Prominvestbank, listed at a starting price of nearly 8.7 billion hryvnias.
Assets of Sich Bank are also up for sale, totaling 53.5 million hryvnias ($1.2 million) — including 47.5 million hryvnias in loan claim rights and 6 million hryvnias in fixed assets.
Additionally, fixed assets of Megabank are listed at a starting price of 400,000 hryvnias ($9,100).
In related news, Polish fintech company ZEN.com acquired the insolvent First Investment Bank in April 2026.
In 2025, the Deposit Guarantee Fund sold assets of 10 insolvent banks through the Prozorro.Sales system for a combined 1.5 billion hryvnias ($34.1 million).
