Russian invaders tried to attack Ukrainian positions Near Mykolaiv while pretending to be civilians, Operational Command South reported on Facebook on April 12.
According to the Ukrainian military, the occupiers tried to play the role of local evacuees who had become lost.
After an attempt to attack Ukrainian positions, five Russian soldiers were killed, and the rest fled the battlefield.
“In the Mykolaiv Oblast, looking for desperate ways of sabotage, disguised rascists (Russian fascists) in three civilian cars tried to impersonate a group of evacuated local residents who got lost,” the Operational Command South wrote.
“Having approached our positions under such a guise, the invaders tried to attack, but encountered a worthy rebuff. Having lost five of their own, the rascists quickly made tracks from the battlefield.”
The command also reported that 25 people were injured as result of the Russian shelling of Mykolaiv Oblast on April 10.
